Inherent Value is a photographic series that directly references the repair and maintaining of Japanese landmarks with gold. Through the observation of care and preservation of historical areas of Japan, I photograph the spaces that are in the process of restoration. Inspired by the Japanese technique of Kintsugi, gold leaf is applied to areas being worked on to emphasize importance and their ability to bind together what is lost and regained, beautifully

は、金箔で日本のランドマークの修理と維持を参照する写真シリーズです。日本の歴史地区の保全とそれに携わる人たちを観察しながら、修復の過程にある空間を私は撮影しています。金継ぎの日本の技法に触発され、金の葉は、重要性を強調するために取り組んでいる部分に貼っています。金箔は失われたものと束ねられるものを美しく結びつける能力があると思います。
